Oldskool Lighting Tricks
Here are some old images I recently recovered that I used to demonstrate to other artist how to do cheap lighting tricks when I was doing environment modelling, texturing and lighting on ‘Batman Begins’ back in 2005 on PS2. Mostly a combination of splitting polygons for hard shadows, stencil bloom and subtractive blending. It seems so long ago (8 years and so much has changed since then), but might have some merrit on current mobile phones again.
